Check this out!
Look at that little pink plus sign-it has turned my world upside down! The baby is due August 8, 2009 (although my dad decided that my “real” due date is August 1, 2009). I am 6 weeks into my journey to become a mom. I feel sick a lot-all day, in fact. Telling my hubby and parents about the pregnancy was one of the most fun things I have ever done in my life.
“I’m with you, girl.”
Here’s a picture of my great grandma Joy. She passed away on October 14, 2009, just a few days ago really, and she was surrounded by her family–what she called her children’s children and her children’s children’s children. She had a lot of us-3 children, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. In this picture, taken last Thanksgiving, she is holding butter that mom had put into a turkey mold (mom’s pretty creative). In my last conversation with her, I was telling her about some of my troubles with finding a house and the difference of opinion between me and Mike, and she said to me, “I’m with you, girl.” The more I got to know her, the more I realized that we were similar in a lot of ways-both worriers, both wanting everyone to be taken care of, both travelers and question-askers. I miss her a lot already.
24
Today is my 24th birthday! It’s interesting to get older-I feel more and more pressure to do somehting important. I’m excited about the upcoming year, though. I like what I’m doing, and I love my hubby. Hopefully while I’m 24 we can get a house and have our two babies (evie and maxx) in the same place. Mike and I are headed to Cincinnati to celebrate. We’ll spend the day with mom at the Glendale Street Sale, and then we’re having pizza at my grandma’s house-sounds like a good day. I bought some new clothes with my birthday money last night so I’ll show those off soon. I love elise’s 24 to do list so I decided to make one too. So far, I know that I want to finish my masters thesis, learn photoshop, walk evie more, and grow my hair out. Here’s a picture of maxx-I can’t wait to see him.
Date Day
We stole the day to spend some time together before Mike starts working all the time and then we both go back to school. Here we are in front of the Columbus Fish Market-yum!
family pictures (21)
My dad is the one on the right-look at the little cutie! He’s hates this pictures because of his high-waters and his hand on his hip, but I love seeing him in his little baseball uniform-an original member of the sandlot.
An eye-opener

I can’t get over this study… The picture made me put down my spoonful of cookie dough right away. I think I will keep it to remind myself to eat less and live better.
Wedding Collage
I made my first collage! I love looking at pics from our wedding-what a beautiful day it was! I kind of miss planning it-well, only a little.
Sisters
This is one of my favorite people in all the world. Here we are this time last year when we went to see a play in downtown Cincinnati. Isn’t she beautiful?! She’s a budding photgrapher too. Check out her pictures at redstudio.smugmug.com.
yea for time to scrapbook!
I got to scrapbook today. I’m scared that school will not allow me to do this…I will be swallowed by the school monster!!!
